About the Baker...
Sophie Bravo is currently a rising senior at Syosset High School. She began baking when she was a young child, teaching herself to cook and bake her personal favorites, and then beginning to bake for others at a rather young age.
Sophie opened Sophie's Sensations when she was not even 8 years old, and she had her first big catering event when she was but 9, catering the desserts for a 200-person wedding. Since then, Sophie has catered large marketing events, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, weddings, birthday celebrations, and much more.

When Sophie was just 9 years old, she was invited to participate as a contestant on Chopped Junior, season 2, episode 1 entitled "Dough". Though Sophie did not win that episode, she was the youngest contestant to date (and the smallest one as well), and she knew exactly what to do with all of the ingredients, though she did not like the pressure of being 'on the clock'.
Sophie was honored to be invited to participate in this show, and the experience reminded her that her real passion is baking, and that she is a true artist who enjoys both baking AND creating her delicacies.

Sophie has participated in local Kids and Senior fairs, offering classes and workshops for people across Long Island. She has baked regularly for her favorite local organization, Birthday Wishes of Long Island, bringing joy to children on the birthdays, as well as providing large quantities of donations for their fundraising events.
Sophie regularly bakes for various community events and projects. As much as this has become a business, Sophie still loves the simple pleasure of giving a little something sweet to others.

Sophie is known for mixing her talent as an artist with her passion for baking, so that her desserts not only taste great but look great as well.
Sophie works regularly with colors and designs, creating and implementing the ideas she gleans from others and from her own experience. She is precise and particular, and every creation is unique and special for that specific customer. She will work with everyone to design the perfect sensation for that precise event.

During Quarantine 2020, Sophie's baking business really exploded. As bakeries and grocery stores were forced to shut down, Sophie was able to supply families with small, specialty cakes and delicacies, and through word of mouth, her business has continued to thrive.
When she is not baking and glued to her baking kitchen, Sophie can be found doing what all 17-year-old teens are doing: school work, hanging with friends, playing sports and just enjoying life. Of course, her friends LOVE to be the recipients of her leftovers, and they always volunteer to try out new things.
